Position: Skilled Trades Intern (NC03) - Machinist (US Persons)
Location: Rocky Mount

Location:

This position is available in Rocky Mount, NC.

The exact worksite location will be selected based on business requirements and the candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.

The hourly base range for this position is $18-$22/hr please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell Aerospace considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Working 1:1 with a mentor, you will apply your current skills and learn to:

  • Operate and set up machines, such as lathes, mills, and grinders, to fabricate precision components
  • Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet specifications and quality standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues to maintain production flow
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency
Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Be a US Person
  • Have graduated high school and be enrolled in the Computer-Integrated Machining program at Nash Community College.
  • Have hands-on classroom experience in the operation of machining equipment such as lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Have basic knowledge of mechanical components and systems.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Have good manual dexterity and strong attention to detail.
