- Run and program multiple machines to produce quality products to blueprint specifications
- Program, set up, and operate multiple machines using blueprints or specifications
- Complete complex computer-controlled setups using HMI systems, including 5-axis and above machines
- Load and off-load products from multiple machines
- Gauge products to ensure proper dimensions
- Inspect products for visual characteristics and defects
- Check product samples with assigned inspection tools and record results according to process standards
- Place products into appropriate racks
- Separate scrap from good product and document accurately
- Scan correct production information
- Maintain machine tooling
- Train new operators when required
- Troubleshoot moderate to complex quality and machine issues
- Follow safety procedures and operating instructions
- Process products according to routings, specifications, quantity, and style
- Meet daily departmental production goals
- Communicate safety, quality, and product issues with supervisors, team members, and across shifts
- Run orders by due date and follow process documents and inspection standards
- Inspect and modify tooling as required
- Resolve moderate to complex problems using knowledge of insert styles and production processes, coordinating with technical experts when needed
- High School diploma or GED
- Experience operating and setting up multiple CNC machines, including 5-axis and above
- Ability to program machines using blueprints or specifications
- Ability to complete computer-controlled setups using HMI systems
- Ability to load and off-load products from multiple machines
- Ability to gauge and inspect products for dimensions, visual characteristics, and defects
- Ability to use assigned inspection tools and record inspection results
- Ability to maintain machine tooling
- Ability to troubleshoot moderate to complex quality and machine issues
- Ability to follow safety procedures, process documents, routings, specifications, and inspection standards
- Ability to meet daily production goals and communicate safety, quality, and product issues
- Ability to lift product weighing no more than 33 pounds
- 2-year technical degree preferred
Demonstrates expertise in operating and programming CNC machines, including 5-axis systems, while ensuring product quality through precise inspection and adherence to safety standards. Capable of troubleshooting complex machine issues and training new operators to maintain production efficiency.
