DescriptionJob Summary:
The Bagging Machine Operator operates, monitors, and maintains packaging machinery for the production, loading, and shipping of evaporated salt products, ensuring quality and safety, and troubleshooting issues on a fast-paced production line. Two per shift provide coverage during absences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operates, monitors, and maintains packaging equipment.
- Transport pallets of salt products from the packaging lines to the warehouse.
- Store products and raw materials in an organized and orderly manner as directed by management.
- Load and receive product, raw materials, hoppers, and equipment to and from the shipping and warehousing area as directed by supervision.
- Maintain work area(s) cleanly and safely. Maintains housekeeping in assigned areas to plant and AIB guidelines.
- Must possess a valid DMME general mineral miner card.
- Re-stack and wrap the package product as needed safely.
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance as directed by management.
- Maintain plant records, logbook(s), check lists, work permits, and other plant documents as needed.
- Monitors and maintains product quality and production.
- Generate work permits and work orders.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Monitors production operation through documented procedures and policies. Reports and takes necessary corrective actions to ensure compliance.

Education, Experience, and
Certifications:
