Job OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Poultry Feed Scheduler to join our team in Broadway, VA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing the scheduling of poultry feed deliveries to ensure timely and efficient feeding operations. This role is critical to maintaining optimal poultry health and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Create and maintain accurate feed delivery schedules based on production needs and inventory levels.
- Coordinate with feed suppliers, transportation teams, and farm managers to ensure timely delivery of feed.
- Monitor feed usage and adjust schedules to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Maintain detailed records of feed deliveries, consumption, and inventory.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to align feed schedules with poultry production cycles.
- Identify and resolve scheduling conflicts or delays promptly.
- Assist in forecasting feed requirements based on flock size and growth stages.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards related to feed handling and storage.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in agriculture or supply chain management is a plus.
- Previous experience in feed scheduling, inventory management, or poultry production preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
This position is based in Broadway, VA, and may require occasional visits to poultry farms and feed storage facilities. The role involves working in a fast-paced agricultural environment with a focus on maintaining efficient feed supply chains.
