MIG Welder​/Fabricator

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder/Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in welding techniques and be proficient in various tools and equipment. You will primarily work on structural steel fabrication, custom metalwork, and railings, contributing to high-quality metal structures in a dynamic work environment. Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 6am to 6:30pm (48hrs per week).

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on metal components according to specifications
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings
• Assemble and fabricate metal structures using hand tools
• Operate welding equipment including MIG and Stick welding machines
• Inspect welds for accuracy and quality
• Rig components for welding operations
• Maintain quality control and ensure safety compliance

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience as a MIG Welder or a similar role
• Proficiency in MIG welding and other welding techniques
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
• Familiarity with hand tools and welding equipment
• Capability to rig components for welding operations

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of welding experience
• Welding certification (e.g., AWS)
• Experience with MIG and Stick welding
• Strong blueprint interpretation and fabrication skills
• Proficiency with hand tools and precise measurement
• Commitment to quality assurance and safety compliance
• Effective communication skills
