Job Description Summary
The Assistant Brand Manager is responsible for managing the entire product lifecycle—from identifying consumer insights and developing new product concepts to overseeing commercialization and supporting post-launch performance. Acting as both a Brand Manager and Product Developer, this role drives innovation while ensuring every product and campaign strengthens the overall brand strategy. The role partners closely with internal teams and external manufacturers to deliver high-quality products on time, on budget, and to the highest standards.
In addition to product development, the Assistant Brand Manager supports brand marketing, business analysis, and commercial initiatives to drive sustainable brand growth.
- Lead new product development projects from concept through commercialization.
- Prepare product briefs, including target positioning, formula, packaging, pricing, and performance requirements.
- Evaluate product samples and recommend improvements to formula, packaging, quality, and user experience.
- Manage products throughout their lifecycle to maximize business performance.
- Continuously improve existing products by enhancing quality, functionality, packaging, and consumer experience.
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained throughout the product lifecycle.
- Analyze competitor products, pricing, positioning, and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.
- Conduct ongoing market research to support product pipeline development and brand growth.
- Develop business recommendations based on consumer insights, competitive analysis, and commercial performance.
- Develop pricing recommendations and guidelines for new product launches.
- Support the execution of integrated product launch plans across online and offline channels.
- Support the development of product education materials, marketing collateral, product presentations, sales materials, and launch toolkits.
- Support advertising campaigns, promotional activities, trade shows, and product launches.
- Ensure all marketing materials accurately communicate product benefits and brand positioning.
- Conduct product training sessions for internal sales teams.
- Manage multiple product development and innovation projects simultaneously.
- Track project milestones and proactively identify risks that may impact launch timing.
- Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Cosmetic Science, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in brand management, product development, product marketing, or innovation within the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industry.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturers and packaging suppliers is preferred.
- Experience managing new product development projects from concept to launch.

The anticipated compensation range is 22.75 - 44.50 USD Hourly. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including qualifications, education, experience, and location. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
