Director​/VP of Video & Creative

My Golf Spy  is looking for a Director/VP of Video & Creative to define what our brand looks, sounds and feels like in video.

We already have the testing, data, audience, and credibility. What we need is someone who can turn all of that into compelling video people actually want to watch.

This is not primarily a production job.

We're looking for a creator, strategist and show runner, someone who can build a recognizable MGS video voice, create repeatable franchises and turn our testing, data, and stories into formats that work across You Tube,  and social platforms.

• Define the creative direction and voice for My Golf Spy  video
• Develop repeatable shows, franchises and video-first concepts
• Turn testing, data, investigations, buying guides and golf culture into compelling stories
• Build a video strategy across You Tube,  and social platforms
• Make video an integral part of the My Golf Spy  website experience, not just something embedded after the fact
• Identify and develop on-camera talent
• Build and lead the video team
• Establish a consistent publishing cadence and creative workflow
• Work closely with editorial, testing, and social to identify stories early and determine when something should be video-first
• Partner closely with the social team to translate our strongest video ideas into platform-native content.
• Obsess over concepts, hooks, titles, thumbnails, storytelling, retention and packaging
• Help build video into a meaningful audience and revenue engine for My Golf Spy

You understand that great video starts with the idea, not the camera.

You know how to take something complicated and find the story inside it.

You understand why some channels build loyal audiences while others simply publish content.

You can walk into a meeting about golf-ball testing and leave with five strong video concepts.

You care about production quality, but you'd choose a phenomenal idea executed simply over a beautifully shot boring video every time.

You understand creators, digital media and modern audience development.

You understand the ins and outs of social media algorithms from Instagram to Tik Tok and everything in between.

And you're comfortable challenging how we've always done things.

• Experience leading video for a digital media brand, creator-led company or similarly fast-moving content organization
• Proven understanding of what drives performance across social platforms, with experience working closely alongside social teams
• Experience helping grow a successful You Tube channel or video-first audience
