Job Description Senior Accountant

Location:

Dulles, VA (onsite, 5 days/week) Compensation: $90,000 + discretionary year-end bonus (5–10%)A well-established, mid-sized organization in Dulles is hiring a Senior Accountant to join its corporate finance team. This is a high-visibility role with regular exposure to the executive team and a clear seat at the table in a stable, growing company.

You'll own core general ledger work and play a key part in monthly and year-end close, financial reporting, and the annual audit. The team moves fast and handles special projects as they come up, so we're looking for someone who can pick things up quickly and pivot when priorities shift.### What you'll do
* Manage month-end and year-end close
* Prepare journal entries and bank reconciliations
* Build and review monthly financial statements
* Support the year-end audit
* Reconcile payroll entries
* Work closely with AP and AR teams
* Handle financial reporting and special projects as needed
* Gain exposure to foreign currency transactions### What we're looking for
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
* Hands-on experience with month-end and year-end close
* Strong journal entry and bank reconciliation experience
* Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUPs a must)
* Solid GAAP knowledge
* Experience at a company with enough complexity to support a real close cycle
* Great Plains experience is a big plus
