Senior AccountantQualifications:
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Review financial records, such as income statements and balance sheets, to ensure accuracy
- Utilize technical accounting knowledge to identify potential deductions and credits
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations
- Use accounting software, such as Quick Books and Drake, to input and analyze financial data
- Correspond with IRS to handle tax notices and resolve tax issues
- Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing any concerns or issues they may have
- Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on tax preparation
- Proficient in using accounting software, such as Quick Books, Zero and Drake
- Ability to analyze financial records and identify potential deductions and credits
- Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients
- Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing tax returns
- E
nrolled agent license or CPA license a must

Monitor, analyze, and reconcile expenses and balance sheet data
Assist with maintaining the general ledger
Prepare journal entries to be posted to GL
Monthly/Quarterly Variance analysis
Create departmental reports to compare to budget pacing
Document accounting process and internal control
Assist in month end and quarterly reporting
Assist with the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal taxes

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Accounting: 4 years (Preferred)
- Balance sheet reconciliation: 3 years (Preferred)

Work Location:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
- EA certification or CPA certification needed
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting or related roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience in public accounting is a plus
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite (especially Excel)
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Note:
This is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in financial accounting. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate finance principles, strong financial acumen, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to stakeholders. Pay scale is weighted heavily on experience.
