Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Description

We are in the service industry, located in RICHMOND, Virginia, United States, seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will focus on managing customer accounts, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Cash Applications, Cash Collections, Commercial Collections, Microsoft Excel, Oracle, Quick Books, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently and effectively.

• Accurately and efficiently process customer deposits, including check posting and bank submissions.
• Analyze and post ACH transactions to customer accounts.
• Manage and settle credit card transactions, posting when funds arrive at the bank.
• Handle customer payment disputes, collaborating with the Operations team as necessary.
• Lead the collections process, regularly following up with customers on past due balances and summarizing communication on collection efforts for management review.
• Monitor and follow up on open aged service tickets.
• Assist in audit processes.
• Help with filing and organization tasks as needed.
• Carry out other related duties as assigned from time to time.

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Experience in Billing procedures.
• Expertise in Cash Applications.
• Knowledge of Cash Collections processes.
• Understanding of Commercial Collections.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Oracle software.
• Familiarity with Quick Books.
• Knowledge of SAP software.
