To provide leadership to fixed asset accounting, maintain accuracy of the Banner fixed asset module, prepare and/or review journal entries, reports and working papers for fixed assets. Compile, prepare and analyze complex financial data and reconciliations of fixed assets, Equipment Trust Funds, inventory, leases, SBITAs and aggregate assets. Provide support to the Associate Controller and University Controller.
Knowledge, skills and abilities- Considerable knowledge of financial accounting, general ledgers reconciliation, and plant funds.
Considerable knowledge of automated financial systems. Considerable knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and their application to fund accounting, including fixed asset accounting. Ability to analyze, research and compile data and develop a variety of fiscal reports.
Demonstrated ability to use a variety of PC based word processing and spreadsheet software such as MS Excel, Word and Access to record, reconcile, monitor and report data. Ability to supervise and provide guidance to professional staff. Demonstrated ability to prepare financial reports and statements. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Demonstrated ability to analyze, research and compile data and develop a variety of fiscal reports.

- Strong financial accounting and fixed asset experience in a higher education environment.
