Our client, a leader in offering top-tier services in Engineering, Quality Assurance, Program Management, and more is searching for a skilled Accountant to drive their government cost accounting and financial operations, and support interpreting legislative and programmatic rules and regulations with all federal, state, local and contractual documents.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
- Financial Oversight:
Manage all accounting functions, including payables, general ledger, payroll, and adherence to GAAP. - Reporting & Analysis:
Produce timely financial reports, conduct cost analysis, and oversee the development and monitoring of budgets. - Compliance & Controls:
Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), maintaining strong audit readiness. - Strategic Planning:
Develop financial plans, track contract expenditures in real-time, and prepare accurate forecasts. - Leadership:
Collaborate with the CEO and COO to draft and manage budgets, evaluate cost-effectiveness, and support the financial health of the company. - Contracts & Compliance:
Responsible for DCAA burden rates and incurred cost submissions and audits. Review of potential RFPs for pricing and reporting requirements. Participate in decision of bid selection and submission of pricing models for new and existing contracts. Handle contract closeouts to DCMA.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience:
10+ years in accounting, specifically in DOD or government procurement environments. - Education:
Bachelor’s in Business or a related field. Relevant experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. - Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software (preferably SAGE MAS), with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Expertise:
Deep knowledge of FAR, CAS, and experience with wage incentives, commissions, and salary calculations for RFPs. - Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with sharp attention to detail and deadline orientation.
Your Perks Will Include:
- Competitive Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 per year.
