Position Summary –
SAS Builders, Inc. is growing and seeks a motivated full-time Senior Accountant to join our Accounting Department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities –This exciting opportunity will encompass a variety of duties key to the functions of the Accounting Department, including:
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy and completeness for submission to Controller
- Prepare account reconciliations (receivables, notes payable, intercompany)
- Monthly update of corporate debt sheet across multiple entities.
- Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- HUD application and audits assistance
- Assist management and project managers with project cost inquiries and reports.
- Assess current practices, procedures and make recommendations for improvements
- Compilation of Year End financial reports for income taxes
- Compile, analyze and submit monthly construction draw requests to multiple financial institutions.
- Attend internal development project meetings as necessary
- Monthly invoicing to single family home construction contracts.
- Support request from bank institutions
- Process and submission of annual 1099’s
- Completion of annual workers compensation audit
- Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. (Additionally, five years relative experience is preferred.) Or – an Associate’s degree and/or work related experience in accounting functions.
The successful candidate will also have:
- Position requires at least 5 years’ experience in accounting or an equivalent field.
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize.
- Very Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and problem solving.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills

Hours of the position:
Full time, Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00pm
