* ** THE ROLE
** Legends Global is seeking an experienced Accounting Coordinator to serve as the lead accounting resource for the Henrico Sports & Events Center.  This is a hands-on accounting leadership role for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, improving processes, and working closely with operations and finance leadership.

Duties & Responsibilities
*** Serve as the lead accounting resource for the facility and oversee day-to-day accounting operations
* Lead the monthly financial close process and ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end activities
* Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, adjusting entries, and general ledger activity
* Prepare and review bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and other accounting functions
* Prepare monthly financial statements, forecasts, budget-to-actual reports, and supporting schedules
* Analyze financial results and explain significant variances and trends
* Maintain accurate supporting documentation for financial transactions, reconciliations, and journal entries
* Coordinate annual external audit materials and work directly with external auditors
* Establish and maintain effective accounting procedures and internal controls
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency
* Provide leadership, training, review, and support to accounting staff
* Partner with the General Manager and Regional Finance Team on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
* Provide hands-on support and backup to accounting staff as needed
* Perform other accounting and financial responsibilities as assigned
