Legal Assistant II – Henry County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office
Location: Henry County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office
Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Salary Minimum: $40,649 annually ($20.85/hour) | 37.5-hour work week
The Henry County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Assistant II to support our team of attorneys and staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring the efficient operation of the office by preparing legal documents, managing case files, coordinating court-related tasks, and providing essential administrative and clerical support.
ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced legal environment, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a high level of discretion while handling confidential information. Responsibilities include assisting with trial preparation, processing court documents, coordinating with law enforcement and witnesses, performing accounting tasks, and serving as backup support for Circuit Court case preparation.
Minimum Requirements- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of experience in a legal setting such as a law office, government agency, court system, or other comparable environment.
- Initial screening will include a computer aptitude test.
