ResponsibilitiesProvides mid-level administrative and clerical support to the department, while maintaining individual production requirements, in support of the unit and agency mission. Updates and maintains records, files and in automated databases. Position is also responsible for additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Unit.
Qualifications- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Considerable recent experience providing customer and administrative support including composing letters, memos, word processing, data entry, filing and other related duties in a professional office setting.
- Recent experience using office equipment (e.g., computers, printers, copier, fax machine and a multi-line communication system).
- Bookkeeping and/or accounting experience.
- Demonstrated skill in using Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel to accomplish office support requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to organize work, meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Skilled in communicating with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information.
- Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations and work with numerical data.
- Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain automated and manual filing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain and update inventory.
- Post-secondary courses in office administration, secretarial science or certification in office administration or equivalent training or experience in a related field.
- Administrative experience in a criminal justice, court, or law office setting.
- Demonstrated skill in inputting data into an automated database other than Microsoft Office.
