Job Description

Summary:

This position supports the goals of the Law School and the Clinical Program by managing the daily administration, support services, human resources, fiscal management, and procurement needs of 9 separate legal clinics and an interdisciplinary center that serve hundreds of clients in the community and over 200 students annually. When appropriate, the position oversees support staff for all the legal clinics;

manages the Program facility; manages clinic communications with the public, governing boards, and government officials and plans and/or coordinates Program activities.

The position is responsible for creation and modification of policies and procedures, client outreach, community research, donor stewardship, and ensuring client, student and instructor satisfaction with the Program. This position also supports the Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic which includes supporting a bi-monthly legal outreach called Military Mondays, where the employee is responsible for all advertising, applications, and follow-up; all client and provider inquiries to the clinic, as well as application review and presentation to attorneys.

There are two additional profit ventures in the clinical program, both of which are supported by this position as well as the online Military & Veterans Health, Policy & Advocacy four-course certificate program that runs quarterly.

This position will provide support for students in both programs, from application through curriculum and certificate presentation, including planning and fiscal details.

This position supports the mission of the Law School’s Clinical Program by managing the daily administration, support services, human resources, fiscal management, and procurement needs of 7 separate legal clinics that serve hundreds of clients in the community and over 200 students annually.

The Clinical Programs Administrative Manager is responsible for all aspects of the clinical program’s administrative support activities, including, but not limited to:

Creating and maintaining clinical program policies and procedures pertaining to the maintenance of administrative records and support activities for clinical program activities

Receiving and responding to correspondence and inquiries from members of the public regarding the Law School clinical program and services offered.

Reviewing applications from members of the public seeking legal representation from the Law School’s clinics, gathering information from applicants, and coordinating with clinical faculty to determine appropriate disposition.

Managing day-to-day administration of the clinical office, including processing of mail, organization of the office space, procurement of office supplies, and oversight of access to clinical office space.

Supervising student performance of administrative tasks within the clinical office, including student employees and enrolled students.

Assisting faculty with reserving office space for classroom instruction and client meetings.

Supporting the Puller Veterans Benefits Clinic’s periodic outreach program “Military Mondays” and the online Military & Veterans Health, Policy & Advocacy four-course certificate program

Coordinating with faculty and campus administration to conduct outreach activities, limited engagement meetings, travel, and other event planning and administration.

Serves as an administrative point of contact for law school employees, students, and community members, and responds to all inquiries from these constituencies.

Assisting clinics with community outreach and donor stewardship.

Managing the Program facility.

Planning and/or coordinating Program activities.
