Description:
St. Louis County Schools, ISD 2142, is currently seeking applications for an Executive Assistant to the Superintendent and School Board. The Executive Assistant provides confidential administrative support to the Superintendent and School Board. This position serves as the primary point of contact for the Superintendent's Office, coordinates School Board operations, manages official records and communications, and assists with district compliance, reporting, and administrative functions.
The Executive Assistant exercises sound judgment, maintains confidentiality, and works independently while supporting the efficient operation of the district office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide confidential administrative support to the Superintendent and School Board.
- Coordinate School Board meetings, including preparing agendas, posting notices, recording minutes, and maintaining official board records.
- Assist with School Board elections and maintain governance-related documents.
- Draft, proofread, and distribute correspondence, reports, presentations, and other communications.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Superintendent's Office, responding to inquiries from staff, board members, community members, and outside agencies.
- Monitor district policies, compliance requirements, and administrative deadlines.
- Maintain records related to personnel actions, contracts, and other district business.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, and special projects for the Superintendent.
- Maintain accurate records and complete required state reporting and data submissions.
- Perform a variety of confidential administrative duties and other responsibilities as assigned by the Superintendent.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and other office technology.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining positive working relationships with staff, board members, and the public.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in Business, Office Administration, or related field strongly preferred.
- Three years of progressively responsible administrative support experience, preferably in a school district, governmental agency, or executive office.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
