Job Duties

This position is responsible for managing the high-volume intake of Environmental Health applications and serving as the primary point of contact for customers navigating the permitting process. The role includes reviewing and researching historical property records, clearly explaining findings, setting realistic expectations, and guiding applicants through each step of the operations permit workflow. The incumbent will accept and track permit documentation as it is completed, ensuring files are accurate and ready for processing.

Exceptional customer service is essential, as this role supports applicants with professionalism, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering an excellent experience throughout every interaction.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Knowledge of office and administrative principles and practices
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications
  • Ability to interpret and follow established procedures and guidelines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, verbally and in writing
  • Considerable skill in the operation of standard office equipment
Additional Considerations
  • Experience in an office setting
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
  • Experience with an electronic health record
