Clerk of Court - Part-Time File Clerk

Position Description Required Qualifications

• General office experience utilizing computer operations, word processing, spreadsheet development, and database management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrate excellent organization, detail, professionalism, and file data accuracy skills
• A minimum education of High School Diploma or GED is required

• Properly file criminal case documents in order to provide assistance to the Clerk and Deputy Clerks
• Assist the Clerk and Deputy Clerks on organizational efforts of the office among each respective area(s)
• Properly clean, transfer, and file archival documents in the Archives Room
• Assist with scanning and indexing of court documents
• Manage any new duties and responsibilities regarding the sealing of certain documents pursuant to recent changes to the Code of Virginia
• Must be able to successfully work individually and as part of a team

This position reports directly to the Clerk of the Circuit Court, Mr. Gerald R. Goad
