Blue Ridge Community College’s Office of Admissions & Outreach is seeking a Welcome Center Associate to…
- Provide assistance to all students in-person at the Welcome Desk and via the online virtual reception room for Career Education, Academic Transfer and Workforce Training programs. Manage the Welcome Desk and Enrollment Zone.
- Monitor and complete administrative duties to include, but not limited to, the Drop Secure drive (secure file transfer platform) for Admissions & Outreach.
- Assist Admissions & Outreach team with email and phone calls.
- Assist Student Services team with administrative tasks and projects.

Minimum Qualifications- Outstanding customer service experience
- Demonstrated ability to interface with technology and learn new systems
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Experience in customer relations in a professional setting
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and constituencies in order to assist prospective students
- Excellent organizational skills including flexibility and prioritizing tasks, attention to detail, record-keeping
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Helpful, but not required:
- Experience working in college admissions and/or marketing
- Experience in Higher Education Outreach or other Student Services related fields
- Relevant education, experience and/or training
- Administrative or clerical experience
