EXECUTIVE
SUMMARY:
With more than 25 years on the front lines of the battle for economic justice, the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) fights on behalf of working people against predatory lending practices, and ensures that its Members can build strong, stable neighborhoods through affordable home ownership. NACA is a high-profile organization with over two million Members and a tremendous track record of success assisting hundreds of thousands of homeowners and home buyers (“Members”).
NACA has set the national standard for assisting low to moderate income people to achieve the dream of affordable home ownership. NACA is growing its local offices nationwide and significantly increasing the number of people and communities it serves with its extraordinary mortgage programs.
The Administrative Assistant (“AA”) is responsible for answering the phones, greeting and assisting the clients, scheduling and confirming appointments, conducting HBW confirmations and processing attendance forms. The successful candidate will have the flexibility to handle a wide range of assignments depending on the needs of the local office, NACA’s on-going local advocacy activities, and other duties as assigned. S/he must be able to multi-task given the numerous responsibilities and the likelihood of being the only administrative person in the office.
The position requires very strong administrative skills in a fast paced environment with the ability to multi-task.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service:
Administer Member appointments, waiting list and confirmations (purchase counseling and HBW attendance). Answer the phone, welcome Members, and address Member issues and questions to ensure outstanding customer service. Demonstrate knowledge of NACA’s programs to encourage participation and support of NACA’s programs and mission. - Volunteer:
Administer volunteer participation by NACA Members and others. - Policy Administration:
Process new hires. Communicate and reinforce NACA policies and procedures and monitor adherence. Maintain a professional and positive work environment while remaining alert to potential risks. - Office Logistics:
Monitor and order supplies. Manage office space with attention to efficient operation, attractive environment to Members and health and safety concerns. - HBW Attendance Forms:
Complete data entry within 72 hours after the workshop.
