Job DutiesThe Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of Virginians. The VDH is made up of a statewide Central Office in Richmond and 35 local health districts.
The Carroll County Health Department is seeking a detail‑oriented and customer‑focused Office Services Specialist to support daily operations and serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors. Working within established policies and procedures, this position provides essential administrative and program support, including scheduling appointments and meetings, performing data entry and routine transactions, preparing correspondence, maintaining records, ordering supplies, and responding to questions about available services.
The specialist ensures efficient workflow and helps connect community members with the appropriate programs, staff, or resources. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a service‑oriented environment, communicates clearly, and values supporting public health initiatives within the local community.
