Job Description:

Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Annually, our four campus sites serve approximately 13,000 credit students and provide training for 7,400 students through the Community College Workforce Alliance. The Academic Office Support Staff will provide office and administrative support functions for students, faculty, and staff of the School of Business, Humanities, and Public Service. Duties to include general office support activities (office receptionist, opening and distributing mail, copying/scanning, filing, etc.); electronic file maintenance and record retention; providing assistance for SBHS projects, events, and training activities; and providing secretarial support for the SHSS Admin and Deans as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of office practices and procedures; data entry and data processing, file maintenance, record retention, and customer service practices and principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; to complete assignments within required time frames; and effectively utilize organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, orally, and in writing.
  • Proficiency in current software programs to include Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite.
  • Clerical experience in a busy office environment.
Additional Considerations:
  • Previous experience in an academic office or a similar office environment.
