Job SummaryThis role provides clerical and invigilation support services for an assigned department.
Specific Duties- Perform clerical duties as assigned, such as but not limited to: photocopying; filing; word processing and formatting documents; data entry; preparing Instructor course packages; and room bookings.
- Perform reception duties including booking appointments and answering phones.
- Invigilate exams.
- Organize and co-ordinate appointments for counselling, exams, and placement testing.
- Perform inventories, as necessary.
- Order office supplies, materials, and equipment.
- Co-ordinate meetings, lunches, and social functions.
- Assist with travel arrangements.
- Assist in recording attendance as necessary.
- Assist with student registration and withdrawals.
- Handling of cash and credit cards.
- Assist in packing and sending equipment for repairs.
- You will be part of a team actively engaged in supporting the aspirations and needs of our learners and communities.
- You will promote a positive work atmosphere and communicating in a professional manner that demonstrates mutual respect with students and colleagues.
- Other related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
- High School completion or equivalent
- 1 year or more Office experience
- Typing of 40 w.p.m. minimum
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize own workload
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to operate various types of office equipment
- Ability to use MS Office at an intermediate level
- Flexible
- Accurate and thorough
- Professional telephone manners and technique
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good oral and written communications
