Accreditation Manager PT

The Part-Time Accreditation Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the agency’s accreditation program to ensure continuous compliance with VALEPSC standards. This position requires maintaining an up-to-date understanding of accreditation requirements, compliance expectations, and documentation procedures. DMS software system, while also reviewing, editing, and recommending updates to agency policies, procedures, and general orders to ensure they remain aligned with accreditation standards.

In preparation for on-site assessments, the Accreditation Manager responds to all accreditation-related inquiries and audit requests, ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and readily accessible. The position is responsible for maintaining meticulous digital and physical accreditation files and ensuring they are consistently organized and up to date. This role requires close collaboration with command staff, supervisors, and division representatives to meet all accreditation deadlines and requirements, supporting the agency’s continued readiness for review and certification.

The position requires a strong understanding of VALEPSC standards and accreditation processes, as well as experience using Power

DMS or similar policy management and documentation systems. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills with exceptional attention to detail, along with strong communication and writing abilities necessary for policy development, documentation, and report preparation. The role also requires the ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and consistently meet established deadlines.

Must have a high school degree or equivalent. Prior experience in law enforcement accreditation management is preferred and will be considered an asset.

The work is typically performed in a seated position in an office setting where no hazardous conditions are prevalent. Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, and some lifting of light objects are required. Frequent sustained operation of office equipment is required. Must be physically able to operate a variety of automated office machines, which include a computer, printer, copier, etc. Occasional travel by motor vehicle to attend meetings and trainings is required.

This role offers part-time, flexible hours, with the specific schedule to be determined based on availability and needs. Please note that the position is not eligible for additional employment benefits.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Virginia Driver’s License.
• Must be a US citizen.
• Cannot have any felony convictions.
• Cannot have any serious misdemeanor convictions.
• Must be willing to submit to drug and alcohol testing.
• Must submit to a background investigation, which includes, but may not be limited to: submission of fingerprints for criminal records checks by the Virginia Central Criminal Records Exchange and the FBI, reference checks, driving history check, previous employer interviews, and others as required.
