Job Overview
As a financial analyst on our team, you will create a financial management strategy to help science and technology portfolios succeed. You will work with project management and task leads to develop an actionable plan, secure funding, and ensure efficient use of resources through consistent tracking and communication. Your expertise in laws, regulations, and policies will help clients develop well‑formed requirements and maximize the impact of Defense Department resources.
Key Responsibilities- Develop financial management strategies for science and technology portfolios.
- Collaborate with project management and task leads to secure funding and build actionable plans.
- Translate regulations, policies, and requirements into client‑specific funding roadmaps.
- Track funding usage and communicate performance updates with stakeholders.
- 2+ years of experience in project management, contract management, financial management, and budgeting.
- Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) financial system.
- Proficiency with commercial software packages, financial databases, web or database applications, Microsoft Office, and MS Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Organizing, coordinating, and conducting meetings.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience with ONR financial processes, procedures, and systems, including Navy ERP.
- Experience managing technology programs.
- Knowledge of science and technology portfolios.
- Bachelor’s degree.
Secret clearance is required for the position.
CompensationAnnualized salary range: $69,400.00 to $ (USD). Additional compensation components may apply.
