Are you looking for a fun and exciting summer job? Join the City of Manassas Community Development Department in the Division of Parks Culture and Recreation.

• Greet and admit patrons to the City pool, and serve food and beverages at the concession stand.
• Perform tasks in admissions and concession stand operations, including taking and filling orders, preparing food items, evaluating and ensuring product accuracy and quality.
• Receive and give change, balance cash drawer, and maintain related documentation.
• Cleans and sanitizes concession stand and equipment, admissions area, and locker rooms according to schedule and specifications; sweeps and mops floors, washes counters and food service equipment, picks up trash and debris, washes deck, trims bushes, etc.
• Receive and review various records and reports such as menus, prices, cleaning duties, swim lessons, and food preparation sheets.
• Prepare and process documentation including swim lesson forms, camp forms, receipts, rain checks, and menu prices.

• Must be at least 15 years old by the start of the pool season.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a group.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Flexible schedule to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
• A combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities in food service and customer service environments.

All employees must complete staff orientation. Employees are required to work a combination of weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Early applications are recommended due to a multi‑step pre‑employment process. A pre‑employment drug test and background check (if applicable) are required for selected individuals.
