Overview
The Strategic Advisor serves as a client resource to facilitate the delivery of the Clinical Asset Management service. This individual is intimately familiar with the client’s asset management process and leverages proprietary Clinical Asset Informatics tools to evaluate asset composition, inventory trends, and performance to identify operational savings, capital avoidance, and cash recovery opportunities.
Location:
Norfolk, VA (must reside within 100 miles). The role is hybrid, requiring onsite presence at client hospitals 1–2 days a week and travel to the Indianapolis Central Office. Relocation is not available.
Compensation range: $95,000–$120,000, with benefits including health, dental, vision, HSA/FSA, matching retirement plans, paid vacation, parental leave, and adoption assistance.
Responsibilities- Identify and lead projects that save clients money across areas such as deferment of purchases, validation of purchase requests, retirement of unneeded assets, reallocation of existing assets, monetization of asset ROI, and reduction of unnecessary rentals.
- Track and report financial and operational benefits from completed initiatives.
- Collaborate with client leaders to establish the toolset as the single source of truth for clinical asset inventory and performance data.
- Develop high‑touch, high‑trust relationships with client leaders and facilitate organizational communications regarding asset lifecycle issues.
- Identify trends of escalated or recurring problems and develop improved cross‑functional processes.
- Anticipate future needs and opportunities, facilitating the development of complex solutions.
- Provide analytics and project management support for client initiatives.
- Strong healthcare business perspective and industry/market awareness.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate insights into actionable, measurable plans.
- Proven experience in managing change and leading teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with analytical drawing of insights from data.
- Excellent written and oral communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑motivated, innovative, and adaptable in a fast‑paced, culturally diverse environment.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in an acute‑care hospital environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (required).
- Preferred: MBA, master’s, or advanced healthcare degree.
- Advanced training in Lean/Six Sigma process improvement.
