Senior Nuclear Licensing Specialist

• Program Administration – Administers departmental programs, develops and implements procedures, ensures compliance with laws, and contributes to project planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
• Licensing – Develops, maintains, and processes licensing documents, negotiates with authorities, monitors industry developments, proposes and implements process changes, and leads screenings (72.48) or evaluations.
• Compliance & Reporting – Collects, analyzes data, prepares reports for regulators and management, identifies trends, recommends remediation, maintains records, and delivers regulatory training.
• Emergency Response Planning – Plans, schedules, leads, and documents training drills; maintains the ISFSI licensing basis; prepares and tracks NRC submittals; supports 10

• Security & Quality Assurance – Supports security plan maintenance, emergency planning, radiation protection program interfaces, QA under

• Agency Interface – Interfaces with NRC, state, and local agencies to coordinate audits, inspections, enforcement actions, and lead corrective actions.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Typically 10+ years of power plant experience with at least three years in nuclear power plants or equivalent technical program management.
• 3+ years of nuclear licensing experience at a nuclear facility, including NRC submittals/RAIs, technical writing, change control, and familiarity with Oregon laws.

• Knowledge of NEI guidance and NRC regulatory guidance relevant to ISFSIs (e.g., RGs, NUREGs).
• Technical writing certifications, licenses, or training.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification – a plus.
• Professional Engineering (PE) certification – a plus.
• Procedure Professionals Association Writer Certification – a plus.
