Financial Management Transformation Consultant

Role Overview

As a Manager in Guidehouse’s Financial Management (FM) practice, you will lead initiatives that transform core financial management functions and operations for Department of War clients. You will oversee end-to-end delivery of initiatives that modernize financial operations, improve transparency, and strengthen performance management. You will assess current-state financial processes, identify pain points, and design future-state solutions that optimize reporting, compliance, and operational integrity.

Your main day-to-day responsibilities will include leading finance transformation projects, strategic process improvement, technology enablement, stakeholder engagement, team leadership & development, and change management.

You will be a trusted advisor to senior client executives, providing strategic guidance and ensuring alignment with federal financial policies and audit readiness. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced tools and platforms, build dashboards, automate workflows, and develop AI-driven models for financial data analysis.

• Ability to Obtain and Maintain a Federal or DoD 'SECRET' security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field
• FOUR (4) years of more in financial management consulting or related roles, with demonstrated expertise in finance and accounting operations and transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with data analytics, automation, and AI tools applied to financial management use cases.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities; ability to synthesize complex information and deliver high-impact solutions in fast-paced environments.
