IMSolutions is seeking a Junior Procurement Specialist to support a future opportunity with a federal agency anticipated to begin in September 2026
.

Employment Type: Full-Time
Location: Remote/Hybrid as authorized by the Government and Companyas requested by the government.

Position Summary

The Junior Procurement Specialist will provide acquisition and procurement support to government contracting and program offices. This position will assist with market research, acquisition planning, source selection support, contract administration, proposal evaluations, and procurement documentation.

Working under the limited direction of a Team Lead or Project Manager, the Junior Procurement Specialist will support government acquisition professionals by conducting research, analyzing procurement information, coordinating source selection documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable federal procurement regulations and policies.

These functions include:
  • Perform market research to support acquisition planning and procurement strategies.
  • Assist Government personnel by suggesting and reviewing acquisition strategies and program management alternatives.
  • Support source selection activities, including documentation coordination and proposal evaluation support.
  • Assist with Past Performance Assessments and Proposal Pricing Reviews.
  • Obtain and compile rate information, technical evaluations, and supporting documentation required for contractor proposal assessments.
  • Enter and maintain contract data within government contract management systems.
  • Provide administrative support for complex government contracts, including services, supplies, research and development, and major integrated projects.
  • Support cost, schedule, and technical analysis of contractor performance.
  • Research and interpret government directives, regulations, policies, and applicable statutes related to assigned acquisition activities.
  • Compile information, conduct assessments, and prepare findings and recommendations.
  • Participate in acquisition meetings, program reviews, and project discussions.
  • Support stakeholder communications, outreach activities, and liaison responsibilities.
  • Prepare draft acquisition documents, reports, memoranda, correspondence, presentations, and other written materials.
  • Maintain procurement files and documentation in accordance with agency requirements.
  • Assist in tracking contract actions, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with government personnel, contractors, and project stakeholders to support successful acquisition outcomes.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Acquisition Management, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience supporting procurement, acquisition, contracting, purchasing, or related government business operations.
  • Experience supporting federal government acquisition or procurement activities preferred.
  • Basic understanding of government contracting principles and procurement processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines.
