Description

NIKA is hiring for an Executive Action Officer to support the Defense Health Agency’s (DHA) Facilities organization in Falls Church, VA
. The role will sit onsite.

The Executive Action Officer serves as the central point of coordination for executive-level taskers, correspondence, congressional inquiries, leadership requests, and organizational actions supporting DHA Facilities. This position manages actions from receipt through final approval and closeout, ensuring requirements are accurately assigned, coordinated, tracked, staffed, and completed within established deadlines.

The Executive Action Officer works closely with senior leaders, branch chiefs, division leadership, subject matter experts, and executive staff to develop high-quality leadership products, coordinate responses, identify risks, and maintain visibility of organizational priorities.

Requirements
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must be eligible to obtain security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum five years of experience supporting a 3-star or SES-equivalent staff, military strategic planning organization, Department of War, Joint organization, or Service-equivalent organization.
  • Experience with:
    • Requirements planning
    • Executive staffing
    • Correspondence management
    • Action/task management
    • Senior leadership support
  • Experience writing and editing

    Department of War, Military Department, or Defense Agency policy and executive documents.
  • Familiarity with Department of War Facilities Life Cycle Management policies.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal regulations and laws..
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise executive-level updates and recommendations.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, including editing and document-formatting tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proficiency withCATMS, ETMS, or similar task-management systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority actions, competing deadlines, and senior-level requirements simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to document quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to identify issues proactively, communicate risks, and recommend solutions.
