We're Hiring:
Safety Manager

Location: Henry County Public Service Authority

Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Minimum Starting Salary: $59,830 - $64,526

The Henry County Public Service Authority (PSA) is seeking a proactive and skilled Safety Manager to lead workplace safety efforts and help ensure a safe, healthy, and compliant environment for all employees.

The Safety Manager develops and maintains safety policies, oversees OSHA compliance, conducts training, and supports accident prevention and investigations.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and update safety policies to meet OSHA and regulatory standards
• Lead safety training programs (CPR/First Aid, Confined Space, Fire Extinguisher, etc.)
• Conduct facility and job-site inspections
• Administer workers' compensation and support claims investigations
• Oversee CDL compliance, drug testing requirements, and annual MVR checks
• Prepare OSHA logs and required safety reports

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• 3-5 years of related experience in safety, compliance, or training
• Equivalent education/experience combinations may be considered
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams

Certifications & Licenses

(All required certifications and licenses must be obtained within 12 months of hire unless otherwise noted.)

• Valid Driver's License
• OSHA 30 (must be obtained within 30 days of hire)
• CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification
• Confined Space Entry training
• Asbestos training
• Virginia Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control Certification
• Tennessee Tank Helper Certified Operator (A or
  
  B)
• Forklift training
• Annual SPCC training
