Role:
Lead external innovation sourcing and ecosystem engagement for Novo Nordisk in China, focusing on building strategic partnerships within academia, biotech, investors, incubators, and the broader life sciences community.
- develop and manage the innovation network
- lead incubator and open innovation programs
- drive innovation challenges and ecosystem outreach
- collaborate with global and local R&D stakeholders to advance early-stage opportunities from discovery to partnership discussions
- PhD or equivalent in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or related
- 8+ years in biotech/pharma R&D, business development, or innovation scouting
- strong network across China's biotech ecosystem
- knowledge of drug discovery and development processes
- excellent stakeholder management and strategic skills
- experience with incubators, venture capital, licensing, or cross-functional initiatives
- focus on external innovation, early-stage opportunity sourcing, ecosystem building in China, and leveraging strategic partnerships to bolster future R&D pipelines
- based in Shanghai; up to 20% travel mainly within China
