This position involves organizing and supervising children (ages 3-5) in a summer day camp setting. Activities include arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and games, special events, and more. Cleaning and sanitizing duties are also required. Staff must be available to work for all six weeks of the camp, with counselors working 40 hours per week. Camp dates are from June 29 to August 7.
Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to engage and entertain preschool-aged children.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment for campers, emphasizing teamwork and cooperation.
Assist in the setup and cleanup of daily activities and maintain a clean and organized camp space.
Actively participate in all camp events, including special visits from the firefighters, police, etc.
Collaborate with fellow camp counselors and staff to ensure a positive camp experience.
Provide regular updates to parents on camp activities and their child's participation.

Must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or equivalent.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and the public.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized in a dynamic environment.
Capacity to create a nurturing and positive environment for young children.
Additional DesirableQualification:
Previous experience in recreation programs, summer camps, or childcare is preferred.
Special Certifications and Licenses:Tuberculosis (TB) screening required for employment.
Must pass a background check.
Mandatory training will take place from June 22nd to June 26th.
