About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team and support the Nursery Manager in delivering exceptional childcare and early education. You will play a pivotal role in promoting the safety, welfare, and development of children while supporting and leading our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities- Safeguarding and Welfare:
Ensure all children are safeguarded and their welfare is paramount, following nursery safeguarding procedures and ensuring all team members are trained and supported in doing the same. - Leadership and Management:
Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to lead and inspire the team, deputising in their absence. Support in planning schedules, setting objectives, and overseeing nursery operations. - Quality Care and Learning:
Provide a high standard of care and early learning opportunities, creating an enabling environment where children can play, learn, and develop. - Staff Development:
Assist with training, supervision, and appraisal processes. Support new staff inductions and ongoing professional development for team members. - Parent and Community Liaison:
Build strong relationships with parents, families, and external agencies, ensuring the needs of every child are met. - Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and clean environment for children and staff. - Administrative Support:
Assist with nursery administration, including registrations, child development records, and policy implementation.
- A passion for working with children and promoting their development.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of safeguarding and EYFS.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in a similar leadership role within a nursery setting is preferred.
