Operations Manager, Occupational Health & Safety
Supreme Industries is looking for a Safety Manager who brings a strong field presence and a proactive mindset to safety. This role is critical to supporting our crews in upstate New York and around the area - ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with our standards and values. position will support our mid-Atlantic region including projects in PA, VA, WV, and NC. Ideal candidate can live in any of these areas as long as he/she is able to regularly travel to all operations within the region.
What You’ll Do- Lead daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) meetings and coach crews on hazard recognition and safe work practices
- Conduct field safety audits and reinforce a behavior-based safety culture
- Deliver HSE training and ensure compliance with OSHA (29 CFR 1926) and company standards
- Support incident investigations
, root cause analysis, and corrective actions - Maintain safety documentation including training records, inspections, and incident reports
- Partner with Project Managers and Superintendents to continuously improve safety performance
- Ensure readiness of safety equipment and first aid supplies across job sites
- 5+ years of construction or industrial safety experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage field personnel
- Ability to manage multiple job sites and priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or related field
- Safety Certifications such as CHST or CSP
- Experience in heavy civil, utilities, ROW, or pipeline work is a strong plus
