We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects from pre-construction through project completion. This role is responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, materials, and client communication while ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and standards. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of mechanical construction projects including HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems
- Lead project kick-off meetings and coordinate project startup activities
- Transition awarded projects from estimating into project execution
- Coordinate shop drawings, engineering, drafting, and submittal processes
- Develop and maintain project schedules, manpower planning, and equipment trackin
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and profitability while utilizing value engineering strategies
- Purchase equipment and materials while ensuring accurate and timely deliverie
- Manage subcontractors and maintain strong communication with field Superintendents and Operations teams
- Generate project status reports and accurately price and manage change orders
- Review and approve invoices, requests for payment, and warranty documentation
- Ensure projects comply with contract documents, specifications, OSHA regulations, and company safety standards
- Oversee fabrication scheduling, as-built drawings, and O&M manual development
- Attend project meetings and maintain strong client, vendor, and contractor relationships
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferr
- Equivalent experience in HVAC, piping, or plumbing construction may be considered in lieu of a degr
- Proven experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical construction projec
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, and plumbing syste
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environme
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and project management platfor
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety standar
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skil
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervisi
