The Assistant Site Manager will be based out of our Arlington, Virginia headquarters and will support on‑site construction operations across Virginia and the Mid‑Atlantic region. In this role, you will work closely with an experienced Site Manager to coordinate daily field activities, oversee subcontractor performance, and help ensure that utility‑scale solar projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with client's standards.
The Assistant Site Manager will play a key role in maintaining daily on‑site oversight, supporting construction planning, tracking field progress, and assisting with contractor coordination, material logistics, and documentation from project start through closeout. This position is heavily field-based and requires consistent travel to project sites.
The Assistant Site Manager is anticipated to have the following responsibilities:
- Support the Site Manager with day‑to‑day supervision of construction activities on site.
- Monitor subcontractor work and ensure adherence to construction plans, safety requirements, and our client's quality standards.
- Assist with coordinating daily work plans, schedules, manpower, and equipment allocation to meet project milestones.
- Track deliveries of equipment and materials, verify quantities and condition upon arrival, and support site inventory management.
- Monitor equipment usage on site (e.g., telehandlers, skid steers) and maintain visibility over fuel, maintenance needs, and safe operation.
- Participate in site walk‑throughs and document daily site progress through logs, photos, and basic reporting.
- Support resolution of routine field issues by coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Assist with basic field measurements, quality checks, and inspections to verify work conforms to drawings, specifications, and client's procedures.
- Ensure that site cleanliness, organization, and safety practices are implemented consistently across the site.
- Coordinate with site leadership on scheduling, tracking time on site, and planning around any weekend or extended work periods.
- Support preparation of RFIs, submittals, and construction documentation as directed by the Site Manager.
- Assist in project closeout activities, including compiling documentation, supporting inspections, and preparing turnover materials.
- Act as a consistent on‑site presence five days a week, traveling regularly to active project locations as required by the construction schedule.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant field experience may be considered in place of a specific degree.

- Background in utility‑scale solar or infrastructure construction is an advantage.
