Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Project Controls Specialist to work for our PMCM group on various rail and transit projects. The client requires 4 days onsite in Alexandria.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with WMATA departments and external stakeholders to develop and maintain detailed schedules supporting track outages and maintenance projects.
- Conduct site visits and pre‑construction surveys to assess field conditions, ensuring construction activities do not conflict with existing WMATA assets.
- Lead deconfliction meetings to address risks associated with work near active transit facilities, minimizing service disruptions and safety hazards.
- Coordinate and track design submissions, construction plans, and schedule updates from internal teams and third‑party contractors, ensuring compliance with WMATA standards and safety requirements.
- Implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and progress tracking tools to monitor adherence to timelines and identify schedule variances.
- Prepare and distribute progress reports to stakeholders and executive leadership, enhancing project visibility and supporting informed decision‑making.
- Review track outage requests and preventive maintenance activities to minimize impacts on service.
- Report on project and track outage status, issues, and recommended resolutions.
- BS in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
- 8+ years of project scheduling experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certifications with PMI or AACEI are also preferable.
- Strong oral and written communication skills required.
- Proficiency with MS Office programs required.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. The base compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000 annually.
