This is a field-based role for professionals who thrive in fast-paced construction environments and enjoy leading complex renewable energy projects from groundbreaking through commercial operation. You'll work closely with contractors, engineering teams, project stakeholders, and leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

  • Oversee projects from site mobilization through commissioning, energization, and final turnover.
  • Drive schedule adherence, budget performance, construction quality, and field productivity.
  • Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions to keep projects moving forward.
Contractor & Project Coordination
  • Direct and coordinate EPC contractors, subcontractors, engineering consultants, and equipment suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, procurement, development, operations, and project management teams.
  • Serve as the primary field representative, maintaining strong communication with contractors, utilities, inspectors, and permitting agencies.
Budget & Schedule Management

  • Review contractor invoices, change orders, and project cost impacts.
  • Assist in forecasting project performance and identifying schedule recovery opportunities.
  • Provide regular project updates to leadership and key stakeholders.
Safety & Quality
  • Champion a strong safety culture throughout every phase of construction.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, environmental regulations, and company safety standards.
  • Verify that all work is completed according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality expectations.
Project Closeout
  • Support commissioning, startup, testing, and commercial operation activities.
  • Coordinate punch list completion and turnover documentation.
  • Partner with Operations to ensure a smooth transition following project completion.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience managing field construction activities for utility-scale solar and BESS projects from groundbreaking through commissioning and commercial operation.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, contractor management, budgeting, and project controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and technical specifications.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to travel as required throughout the duration of the project assignment.
Preferred
