Job Description & How to Apply Below

We are looking for a Data Center Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations for mission-critical facility projects in Northern Virginia, including sites within Ashburn, Manassas, and Sterling.

This role is responsible for on-site supervision of construction activities, trade coordination, and quality and safety enforcement across the full project lifecycle - from mobilization through commissioning - while working closely with subcontractors, MEP trades, and equipment vendors to ensure work is executed safely, on schedule, and to specification.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily on-site construction and retrofit activities for data center projects from mobilization through commissioning and handover
  • Coordinate and sequence the work of electrical, mechanical, and controls trades on critical infrastructure systems (UPS, generators, cooling, switch gear)
  • Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and local Virginia jurisdiction codes
  • Manage subcontractor performance in the field, including scheduling, workmanship, and adherence to project specifications
  • Conduct daily site walks, progress tracking, and quality control inspections
  • Identify and resolve field-level issues, escalating risks or delays to the Project Manager as needed
  • Maintain daily logs, manpower reports, and site documentation
  • Support punch list completion and readiness for commissioning milestones

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of superintendent or field supervision experience in construction, data centers, or mission-critical facilities preferred
  • Familiarity with electrical and mechanical systems in commercial or industrial settings
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards; OSHA 30 certification a plus
  • Experience with scheduling and field management tools (e.g., Procore) a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
  • Ability to work on-site full-time in Northern Virginia
