HVAC Field Supervisor – New Construction

Virginia Peninsula / New Kent County

MEP Partners
, a division of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Partners, LLC
, is looking for an experienced HVAC Field Supervisor to oversee residential new-construction projects throughout New Kent County and the Virginia Peninsula
, including Williamsburg, York County, Newport News, Hampton, and surrounding areas.

This is a full-time, long-term position with an established and growing company.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will oversee HVAC field operations for new-construction single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and multifamily residential projects
.

This is a hands‑on field leadership position responsible for keeping projects moving, maintaining quality, managing schedules, coordinating crews and subcontractors, and communicating constantly with builders and our internal Production Team.

Responsibilities include:
  • Managing multiple communities, crews, and construction schedules
  • Coordinating HVAC rough‑ins, trims, start‑ups, inspections, and final completion
  • Performing jobsite visits and quality‑control inspections
  • Ensuring installations meet company standards, plans, manufacturer requirements, and applicable codes
  • Coordinating manpower and adjusting crews as production needs change
  • Working directly with builder superintendents and construction teams
  • Communicating daily with MEP Partners' Production Team
  • Addressing inspection corrections, punch‑list items, and field issues quickly
  • Identifying problems before they become schedule delays
  • Helping train and develop installers and field personnel
  • Ensuring jobsites are safe, organized, and professionally managed
The Person We’re Looking For

This position requires someone who is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving new‑construction environment
.

Residential construction schedules change. Inspections move. Other trades fall behind. Builders change priorities. Weather, materials, manpower, and field conditions can affect the plan throughout the day.

We need someone who can adjust quickly, reorganize the schedule, make decisions, and keep the work moving without becoming frustrated or allowing pressure to affect how they communicate with others
.

Communication is a major part of this position.

You will be dealing regularly with builders, superintendents, installers, subcontractors, inspectors, project managers, and our Production Team. We are looking for someone who can remain calm, professional, respectful, and solutions‑oriented
, even when schedules change or difficult situations arise.

The right person will:
  • Be extremely organized
  • Be able to manage several projects and deadlines at once
  • Respond quickly when schedules or field conditions change
  • Stay calm and professional under pressure
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with builders and coworkers
  • Handle disagreements and construction challenges without letting frustration show
  • Follow through on commitments
  • Keep people informed when conditions change
  • Anticipate problems instead of simply reacting to them
  • Take pride in quality workmanship and customer relationships
  • Be comfortable making decisions in the field
Experience We’re Looking For
  • Strong residential HVAC installation experience
  • New‑construction HVAC experience strongly preferred
  • Previous Field Supervisor, Foreman, Lead Installer, or similar leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of residential HVAC systems and installation practices
  • Ability to read construction plans and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of applicable mechanical and building codes
  • Strong scheduling, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to supervise employees and subcontractors
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
