Associate Photographer – Hampton Roads, Virginia

Associates Photographers are the talented and versatile team responsible for the media collection for  and  They create virtual tours, floor plans and photography for residential homes using Matterport Pro3 cameras, digital cameras, and iPads.

Each Associate Photographer serves a core territory, with appointments scheduled for defined dates and times to scan homes and apartments and capture virtual tours and floor plans. They also capture residential photography for marketing purposes to advertise properties to potential owners and renters. This role works closely with clients, sales, logistics and the management team and is managed remotely by a Photography Manager located in local markets.

Responsibilities
  • Support marketing efforts on  and  by capturing 3‑D virtual tours and footprints.
  • Create a portfolio of photographs to best feature homes and apartments, using photography techniques to capture spaces effectively.
  • Work closely with scheduling and dispatch teams to maximize appointments and meet client demands.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, sales, researcher partners, and management to evaluate priorities and tasks.
  • Own the market: when not photographing a residential home, navigate one-mile square grids to ensure complete commercial real estate data coverage.
  • Identify new inventory, missing availability, and commercial properties to be photographed.
  • Abide by CoStar safety standards to safeguard company vehicle and equipment.
  • Represent CoStar in a professional manner at all times.
  • Participate in conference calls with sales and research teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of professional experience. Real estate photography experience is required and candidates must provide links and/or website to current portfolio.
  • Experience as a professional photographer, or a recently earned degree in photography.
  • Strong time management skills and highly detail oriented.
  • Capability to accurately capture and enter data.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Windows, Apple OS, Microsoft Office, and internet applications.
  • Enjoys working independently in a fast-paced environment. Field experience preferred.
  • Candidates must possess a current and valid driver’s license and a satisfactory Driving Record/Driving Abstract check prior to start; driving history must reflect responsible driving behavior and compliance with traffic laws.
  • Ability to work and drive outside during all seasons and work weekends on a rotating schedule.
Compensation and Benefits

The Associate Photographer position is hourly plus bonus-eligible, with bonuses paid on a monthly cycle based on performance against predetermined metrics. We seek individuals who thrive in a metrics- and performance-based environment.
