About Us:

Fincastle United Methodist Church is a welcoming and vibrant congregation with a rich musical tradition. We are seeking a talented and dedicated Pianist and/or Organist to join our worship team and help lead our congregation in meaningful, spirit-filled worship.

• Provide piano and/or organ music for the 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning worship service and special services (e.g., Christmas Eve, Easter, Good Friday).
• Select appropriate music for the Prelude, Offertory, Communion, and Postlude.
• Accompany the choir (Sept-June) and other special music (e.g., soloists, instrumentalists, ensembles during July and Aug) during rehearsals and services.
• Practice as needed.
• Maintain the pianos and organ in good working condition, reporting any issues.
• Attend occasional worship and staff meetings at the Pastor’s request.

• Proficiency in piano and/or organ.
• Ability to sight-read music.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clergy, choir, and other musicians.
• Strong sense of musicality and sensitivity to worship flow.

Annual Salary Ranges commensurate with skills and experience:

• Pianist: $5,000 – $7,000
• Organist: $12,000 – $16,000
