Video Editor, Global Marketing

International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global organization focused on protecting vulnerable people from violence. We seek a Video Editor, Global Marketing to produce compelling video content that advances our mission through storytelling.

Position is hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) if located in the Washington, DC area; remote for non‑local candidates.

• Edit a variety of content formats (social media videos, donor stories, brand films, internal pieces) using Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
• Apply transitions, sound design, voice‑over, and music to enhance storytelling.
• Maintain high production value and meet project deadlines.
• Export and format files for web, social, and broadcast distribution.
• Manage raw footage within digital asset management systems, perform version control, naming conventions, and secure backups.
• Perform base and advanced color correction and grading, create or use LUTs and templates.
• Create or support motion graphics and simple animation elements; integrate branded visual elements.
• Attend creative briefings and provide visual execution input.
• Collaborate with producers, writers, and creative leads to align visuals with strategic messaging.
• Adapt quickly to feedback and revise content while maintaining productive communication.
• Lead rapid‑response content creation for timely campaign moments, breaking news, and field‑driven storytelling needs.
• Participate in IJM’s community of spiritual formation.

• 3+ years of professional video editing experience.
• Proven portfolio of high‑quality edited work, including social and branded content.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro;
  After Effects or other animation software is a plus.
• Experience with color grading tools and post‑production workflows.
• Familiarity with media management systems and cloud‑based backup tools.
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, and visual composition.
• Ability to produce short‑form, social‑first content optimized for engagement.
• Experience in nonprofit, documentary, or cause‑driven storytelling environments preferred.
• Mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Apostles’ Creed.
