Location

Located in the heart of Northern Virginia’s famed & majestic Shenandoah Valley. The "Shenandoah Club" campus includes the Lodge, Athletic Club, and Shoreline Outfitter, encompassing more than 36,000 square feet of indoor space along with an expansive lakeside veranda and patio beneath. The restaurant, Region’s 117, and the Shenandoah Events Center are open to the public and available for dining reservations and private bookings.

Benefits
  • New hourly full‑time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the company medical, dental, and life insurance plans the first of the month following 60 days of full‑time employment.
  • Full‑time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) at a rate of 120 hours per year.
  • Full‑time team members are eligible for seven paid holidays annually.
  • Part‑time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Sick Leave in accordance with state guidelines.
  • All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.
Position Overview

The Concierge is responsible for welcoming members and guests and responding to their needs while working at the front desk and/or entrance of the facility. Professional and friendly communication, coordination, and cooperation set the tone for positive resident and guest attitudes while visiting the Club. This position reports to the Member Service Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet and welcome members and guests in an energetic and friendly manner according to Trilogy protocol, via phone or onsite. Respond to requests and direct calls to staff members and relay messages.
  • Screen members and guests for applicable building access according to community regulations.
  • Provide guests and members with information, including a variety of quality choices and arrangements regarding the Club, recreation, or other activities; must have extensive knowledge of the Club and local area events.
  • Maintain daily standard operating procedures for the opening.
  • Assist the Member Services Manager with administrative support, such as mail delivery, email and phone calls, spreadsheet creation and data entry, updates to the website, and creation of promotional flyers.
  • Provide resident services, business center support (copying, mailing, and fax), event registration and fee collection, and access to lost and found.
  • Maintain the organization and function of all front office equipment and the lobby; assure proper inventory of general office supplies.
  • Work with maintenance staff to provide a clean environment for members and guests.
  • Assist the Lifestyle & Activities department by maintaining event flyers and bulletin boards, preparing the scheduled events calendar, and assisting with ticket sales and advertisements for association events and functions.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One to three years of related customer service experience.
  • Experience in a homeowner association environment preferred.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Club management system software preferred.
  • Must be flexible and adaptable to rapid change.
  • Ability to communicate positively and effectively with team members and supervisors about job tasks and responsibilities.
  • Desire to contribute to a productive work environment by maintaining a positive attitude with team members and the public.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to work well with others and provide exceptional customer service for members and guests.
