Position Summary

The Reservations Agent is accountable for delivering the “first touch” for our Guests. Whether fielding an inbound call, working with a hotel concierge, or speaking with a Guest about a swap‑out, the Reservations Agent must consistently deliver Black Tie levels of service. The Agent will also work with our Ski Techs to ensure they have the information they need so that their delivery process can run flawlessly.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a respectful and professional representative of Black Tie within the community when interacting with hotel staff and local partners.
  • Actively demonstrate a clear focus on safety for yourself, your co-workers and our Guests, whether working with our equipment and our vehicles, or double‑checking Guest ski/boot fittings.
  • Answer phones and return voicemails.
  • Book phone reservations from both repeat and new Black Tie guests.
  • Effectively explain and sell the service offering.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of the equipment we carry, and the best type of equipment for different types of skiers and riders.
  • Import and process online reservations from the website.
  • Enter and schedule Tour Operator reservations.
  • Enter delivery information and file completed paperwork.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and organization of office space.
  • Dispatch ski technicians using radios to accomplish new deliveries, equipment pick‑ups and equipment switch‑outs in a timely manner.
  • Act as a liaison between Black Tie guests and Ski Techs when adjustments are being made to delivery, switch‑out or return.
  • Working with management, ensure daily shift responsibilities are handled by the team on time at Black Tie’s expected level of Guest Service:
    Daily Deliveries;
    Daily Returns;
    Equipment Requests.
  • Always set the next shift up for success and communicate in detail with fellow Reservations Agents.
  • Provide excellent customer service and the best possible experience for all Black Tie guests.
  • Be proactive and take ownership of situations while anticipating and responding to customer needs and wants.
  • Show a team‑player, self‑starting mentality and promote shared values alongside fellow employees.
Requirements
  • Hourly position, typically scheduled for 40 hours per week, eligible for hours over 40.
  • Scheduled shifts: 7 am–3 pm, 9 am–5 pm, and 2 pm–10 pm, 7 days per week.
  • Position will be scheduled 5 days a week but is willing to remain flexible during peak days or short‑staffed periods and to work extra hours and pick up extra shifts.
  • Possesses strong computer and phone skills.
  • Must be able to sit almost continually during the shift; encouraged to move around the office frequently.
  • Able to work through the winter season and during holiday periods.
Shift Types
  • AM shift: 7 am–3 pm.
  • Mid‑day shift: 9 am–5 pm.
  • PM shift: 2 pm–10 pm.
  • Pay Frequency: biweekly.
