Job Purpose and Function

The Client Service Coordinator ("CSC") drives the flow of clients and pets through the hospital, maximizes the productivity of the veterinary medical team, ensures good communication, and coordinates the care of clients and pets in a happy, welcoming, friendly and efficient manner to influence client return and referrals.

Responsibilities
  • Actively recruit new clients by promoting hospital services and route the flow of clients and pets for superior client care.
  • Maximize the number of pets seen by the team through efficiently run hospital operations to support wellness plan clients.
  • Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service at all times, including welcoming clients and pets, ensuring comfort, and educating them about pet health.
  • Educate clients about Optimum Wellness Plans, preventative care, pet health needs, and hospital services.
  • Assist incoming clients by completing documentation, entering pet information into the computer, and ensuring prompt service.
  • Assist outgoing clients by providing instructions, invoices, dispensing prescriptions, selling retail products, and scheduling appointments.
  • Manage finances by maintaining accurate balances and following proper opening and closing procedures.
  • Perform administrative functions as necessary and other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Competencies
  • High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Must be at least 18 years old.
  • One year related customer‑service experience (preferred).
  • Preferred medical background with medical terminology training.
  • Strong communication skills in written and verbal English.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Problem‑solving skills and ability to translate problems into practical solutions.
  • Client‑service orientation with a focus on attentive, courteous service.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer use.
  • Ability to lift, carry or move up to 50pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination and visual acuity for keyboard use.
Compensation

Pay range: $15.39 ‑ $19.67 per hour. The specific rate is determined based on experience, skill level, and education.
